I don't mind them at all  but  to make them even better, I add extracts... my favorite is Imitation Caramel.  You can also add the Sugar Free syrups (Torani, has a bunch of flavors.)    I also use mine as the "creamer" for my one cup of decaf coffee in the morning.  Once I added much less water than necessary and it was almost like having pudding.

Many years later and I remember those days of shakes well.  I came up with one that tastes like liquid cheesecake.  It also has a big boost of protein.  Take 1/3 cup of non fat greek yogurt.  Check which one has the highest protein count.  Add 1/3 cup of non fat cottage cheese.  BTW put this in a blender.  I add frozen berries just a couple usually do it for each batch.  This gives it a good kick of fiber as well.  Then add a teaspoon of frozen OJ.  Get unsweetened OJ.  It is naturally sweet.  I use splenda to sweeten to taste.  Over time I found I used less and less of the splenda and just went with non sweetened version.  The frozen berries make it nice and cold like a milk shake.  If needed, you can use non fat milk to thin it down.  Now for more protein, add a scoop of "Any Whey" protein powder.  Blend on high and enjoy.  I've even frozen them in small paper cups with popsicle sticks in them for a nice frozen treat.

Try Total Lean 25 from GNC.  I buy the rtd and it's really good.  Also, I've heard that using a cup a with a lid will help.

To get away from the thick shake consistency, either try just mixing with milk or try Carnation's Breakfast Essentials (sugar free in the blue box) which tastes like chocolate milk. If you can't find the CBE in your store, check their website to find stores that carry it.

Have you tried the fruit flavored?  I personally didn't like them but many here use the Nectar fruit with water instead of the choco, vanilla milkshake based flavors.

Check out www.vitalady.com you can order samples there.  Also I believe unjury sales samples and I'm sure other sites online.

You're on clear liquids?  Muscle milk isn't a clear liquid, is it?  Or Premier protein?  I think those are full liquids.

if you are supposed to be on clear liquids, then I suggest either Isopure or Cytomax ready to drink protein drinks.  You can get them at Vitamin Shoppe or GNC.

If you are allowed full liquids, instead, then there are lots more you can try.  Have you tried Unjury?  Chike?  ENS from Celebrate?  Syntrax Nectar cappuccino (I like it best made with milk and with a little instant decaf coffee added)?  How about Click?  Have you tried making them as hot protein drinks, like adding protein powder to sugar free hot chocolate or hot decaf coffee?  Are you mixing protein powder with milk or water?  Most flavors I like best with milk or almond milk.  Have you tried putting them in the blender with some ice?
