OT What is your favorite mattress?

I have used search and read a lot of responses.

Shopping for new mattress etc and what a headache!

Does anyone have a site or 4 to go to to compare objectively the different kinds of mattresses? Or just to read reviews and complaints about mattresses?

What are you sleeping on and do you just LOVE it and why?

Would love an adjustable bed, anyone have one of these critters and how did the mattress hold up with all the folding and unfolding, LOL.

Would appreciate any thoughts and suggestions and links!

Simmons Beautyrest patent has expired, so others are now doing the same design of individual coils instead of the traditional spring design.  It's now only half the price by other manufacturers.  After 10 years when I replaced it, not so much as a dip at all in the mattress.  I only replaced it because the pillow top was completely worn and my dog ate the memory foam topper.

I have a Kingsdown, extremely comfortable but pricey. It is like sleeping on a cloud. I also highly recommend the mattress cover, waterproof and hypoallergenic.

Thank you, that is one I had not know about so will be checking it out... sleeping on a cloud is what I want so will be interested in finding out about these.

Thank you so much!

Oh, I almost forgot that Sheraton hotels have their Sweet Sleeper beds that are the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on.  They're like $2000 for a king size, but OMG, HEAVEN.  Wanna test run - book a room and try it out.

Temperpedic. They are pricey but we'll worth the money. No indention where you sleep. No bumps or lumps. You do not have to flip or rotate it. Been having mine for a few years and would buy another if I had too. They warranty them for 20 yrs I think. I think that was the warranty on mine.

I have heard that they get  hot but apparently you have not had that problem.  Also glad to hear no indentation.  This is the 2nd expensive mattress we have gotten and we get the indentations and have to rotate it and it is just uncomfortable for me.  We got the plush pillow tops both times.   Must get something else so thank you for the suggestion.  We will try them out!

Thanks Amy...

will go try one of these out.  Heard they get hot but obviously not an issue for you.

These plush pillow tops indent and get lumpy and hard.  This is our 2nd and last one like that. Not like it is cheap either!

The super-thick memory foam ones are awesome! They're ridiculously expensive at the mattress stores, but if you go to Overstock.com you can get them for a few hundred rather than a few thousand.
