Early morning quickie... YUM!

Went out running bright and early this morning ... only it was dark and damp ... but I ran anyway ... got the blood pumping and the old fart body moving ... totally energized ...  I came into the house determined not to miss the first meal of the day .. BREAKFAST ... I have learned since prepping for surgery that b-fast is the most important meal of the day and it does set the pace for an awesome energy filled day .... it does keep cravings and mindless nibbling at bay too I found out early on...

Running out of time I decided to grab and spray a skillet and set it to warm while in a brown I mixed together a scoop of vanilla why protein powder (mind you I just ran 6 miles), one egg, cinnamon, and 1/8 of cup of milk .... I then took one slice of whole wheat bread and soaked it in my batter on both sides and transferred it to my heated skillet ... for the most glorious protein filled piece of French toast over which a few drops of SF syrup was added ... any other day I would have topped it with blackberries or blueberries or strawberries ... but my freezer was bare LOL...

Viola...DELISH PROTEIN FRENCH TOAST..... but but but ... if  one can't manage/won't do bread....some days even I can't/won't ... hey... pour the batter into the skillet ... no bread needed ... brown on both sides for an AWESOME PANCAKE too....

I am living my journey ... one day, one choice at a time and loving it!!! I went to work yesterday HUMP DAY dressed like this ... just to think that 6 years and 8 months ago a 4-5X was fitting snug especially around my butt .... keeping a total loss of 203 pounds OFF for EVER is MY personal goal ....

Me and my dolly Dedes (short for my mom Maria Mercedes RIP) ... that I poured and baked and painted and coiffed myself and shared on here... she will be going home to my lil' sister Rosita in Panamá.

and off to work ... YAY!!!!!!!!!! it is FRIDAY .... have a blessed on to ALL!!!

I will never forget where I came from ... my fat me of yesterday and my slim me of today walk hand in hand ... her deliverance is my release and my release is her deliverance 6 years and 8 months no longer morbid obese... free of obesity related diseases....  I am rocking my journey like I just started yesterday ... it is fun and I love it.... with all the ups and downs and curve balls that live throws ... I am alive and well and grateful!!!

Thanks for allowing me to share SNIPPETS OF MY JOURNEY!!!

MARTI-I haven't had "protein pancakes" in ages..thanks for helping me remember them...I never could get my bread to be "mushy"..and I can't stand mushy bread..it's just a texture thing, for me...but I always liked the pancakes...

I have a  new electric skillet, that I bet that be DA BOMB, for this..AND I have some fresh strawberries I lucked out on finding, just last night..

I am so NOT NOT NOT a cook...but even I can do THIS...bet I know what's for breakfast today!!!
