What is Everyone handing out for Halloween?

I gave out little snack-sized boxes of raisins one year and the neighborhood kids never let my kids forget it.

So now it's mini-Snickers--I can't stand those!

Nothing, we don't get many kiddos in our neighborhood which always seems odd since it's easy to walk the subdivision.  Many of the churches, clubs and organizations have trunk-or-treat and that's where MOST everyone goes.

When we bought our house in Texas the first year for Halloween the neighbors warned me it's crazy busy.  I bought 10 lbs of candy and ran out in 30 minutes.  The following years we bought 25 lbs of candy and were DONE, zilch none before 9:00 p.m.  I miss seeing all the costumes, it was fun, but not buying all that candy.

It is Satsuma season here and always thought it was a good idea to give out (some people do).  Maybe fruit if you want or just get a small amount of candy that doesn't tempt you and turn the lights out when you are done.

I'm passing out candy.   I live in a part of Miami that has many recent immigrants from Cuba and Nicaragua.  Those kids did without enough in their home countries...I'm all about them enjoying some of our culture.    I stop passing out candy at 10 PM so the last half hour I pass out extra to make sure I run out.

Candy!

And it's sitting downstairs (basement) out of sight right now.

We just moved into the neighborhood/town and our next door neighbor gave us the scoop...expect LOTS of kids.

Candy! Just not the kind I like.

For my four year old, we let her eat all she wants (within reason) on Halloween night. Then we put the rest on the front porch. The Great Pumpkin comes and steals it, leaving a prize behind.

DH takes it to work.

tattoos, glow sticks and junky candy. It's their parent's responsibility to teach them good eating habits, not mine. I allow my kids to trick or treat and I then ration out their booty so they aren't gluttonous about it.
