Hi,

I used to have an extensive exercise video library myself.  I found that I lacked the motivation to continue on my own.  I needed the support of others to help me stay motivated.  If you can do this and get the results you want that you are definitely better at discipline than I was lol.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Actually I motivate myself better.... Once I make up my mind, it's not budging. Once I get going I stay focused and do it every evening and if I miss a night or what have you not, I feel the worst guilt ever. It is something that I look forward to and am ALL ABOUT THE WORKOUT and my ME TIME ♥ I also love the way I feel when I work out so I am sure to do it. It is way more convenient to do it here at home also.

When I was 3 weeks out after my bypass, we went to the gym and worked out. I did the treadmill for a few weeks (just walked) and then I started getting into working out and although it was fine, I wouldn't go alone. I had a trainer who kept canceling our sessions via test messages and so there for I stopped and said "I've done it at home for years and I can continue to, I have all the tools I need".... So here is where I will do it. I'm excited! I'm starting tomorrow ♥

Sorry I have been a little slow to respond - I just moved to Kansas 3 weeks ago and traveled to Dallas to be there for my sis whle she had major surgery.

I have actually heard great things about the shake weight but haven't actually used one.  Be sure to work the biceps (front of your upper arm), the triceps (back of the upper arm) and your shoulders.   Many people forget the shoulders.   Be sure to try different exercises.  Just a minor change can help increase the tone of a muscle because it is working the other muscles around the major muscle.

Oh you definitely need to try the shake weight... It gets all of those muscles. When I used before I had a lot of comments and questions about what I was doing due to the fact that my arms and shoulders were "so cut & defined" people were shocked to learn that it was only the shake weight. I also did some boxing exercises. So the 2 together just really defined my arms. But I have lost most of that. So now it's time to get back into it and hit it harder now that I have lost so much weight ... Thank you for your advice and your approach. You're not pushy and argumentative ! I appreciate that a lot ....

I am sorry about your sister. I hope she is okay and recovers quickly ♥
