Wow! Insurance covers protein shakes and vitamins!
AND I truly appreciate that! I was not being careful. A few things just didn't ring true once I started thinking about it after some of you questioned it. So I am very grateful for the heads up.
This place may be on the up and up but it is so easy to get scammed these days. So until I call them tomorrow and get some more answers; I am very uncomfortable with what is going on.
Fortunately, we have Lifelock total protection and I called them to let them know what was going on so they flagged my account and are on the lookout for any suspicious activity. We have had wonderful success and protection with Lifelock although some will say it is not worth it. We have found their services to be more than worth it. It works for us.
Again, this may be a legit business but I am really questioning the ethics of what and how they are doing business so until they prove me wrong, I am done with them!
Whew, thanks to all of you!
Also, FedEX is how they are shipping it. I thought it had already shipped so I called FedEx and they said I most definitely can refuse it and they could just cancel delivery immediately so they checked and it is not in THEIR system yet so they said to call tomorrow early and cancel and if the pharmacy still sends it to call FedEx back and they will cancel it. So that is comforting to know as well. FedEx will also give me proof that they returned the merchandise without delivery.
So why on earth I fell for this is beyond me. Again, they may be legit but thank goodness all you peeps out there have cool heads and alert those of us who are on the edge of something.
If it turns out they are legit, I will sing their praises. If I find out they are walking an ethical tightrope and delivering goods etc before insurance approval; I will post that as well to warn others.
Sorry to make this so long. I am so relieved I was able to avert what could have been an expensive mistake thanks to all you kind people!
This company is real. If your insurance company denies it, it's just as any other claim that gets denied. You are responsible for paying that bill. It's your responsibility to check with your insurance company too as it is with any other procedure, surgery, new doctor, etc. I've had the supplements and shakes from Insure Nutrition and got approved by my insurance company and my doctor was the one *****ferred me as well as hundreds of his patients. I do believe it's only for the 1st year post op...
That still sounds very fishy. How can they possibly afford to only "sell" scar cream and give away protein shakes AND vitamins? It just doesnt add up, and, as they say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I would suggest that you keep an eye on the EOBs from your insurance company because they have to be profiting some way from this and insurance fraud is rampant these days. I once got an EOB for an emergency room visit in another state.
