Victoza is a medication that helps people with type 2 diabetes. It also suppose to help people lose weight because it makes you less hungry any one take this medication and have weight lose with it?

Yes, I was using Victoza about three years ago, and it did a passable job of regulating my blood sugars.  It's an injectable, and I used it once daily.

I did lose weight on it, because I was nauseous the entire four months.  I was less hungry because I was so uncomfortable.

My friend, OTOH, has used it regularly for over a year now, no side effects, diabetes well managed.

YMMV

yes...started victoza about three weeks ago and have lost 6 pounds. I NEVER lose weight. Dr. who  started me on it also wants me to have weight loss surgery. I'm planning to have surgery...need to lose 120 pounds, includes 6 I've lost.

I have to go 1000 miles round trip for surgery so am checking to find dr now.

Since you're going to have to travel anyway, and have blood-sugar problems, I highly recommend you see a surgeon who does the DS. The DS has the very best long-term, maintained weight-loss stats, AND the best stats for resolving diabetes and high cholesterol.
