yello squash casserole anyone?
times have changed so much in the recipes dept.
we planted yellow squash in the garden , i'm going to make a yellow squash casserole and some lemony yellow squash muffins with them..not sure which yellow squash casserole to make , I want to make it the best the first time.. not all sloppy or mushy .. i see most recipes call for some butter in the casseroles. i don't want to add butter ,has anyone made something similar and swapped out the butter for something more healthy? i know there are healthy versions of butter but i prefer to not use any at all. thanks Wendy

Butter is healthy. Is all natural and it is healthy.

Hi beautiful Huskergal! I use a terriffic product called ButtetBuds in recipes which is natural butter solids without the fat . The US government basically subsidizes dairies .. and uses freeze drying to preserve cheese and butter . The freeze drying process takes out the fat and keeps the flavor .
You can buy the cheese flavor very cheaply in boxes of max and cheese .... and its great for cheddar cheese type sauces for say broccoli casserole .. all you need to do is mix it up using powdered milk or fat free half n half.
Similarly butter buds can be used in any sauce mix or recipe to give a genuine butter flavor without the calories or fat . ((())))
