I bring food with me. Individually wrapped cheese sticks or ( 5 years post op) nuts. The popcorn smell cash get to you. Beside that - a small bottle of flavored water.

I think of the PRICE of the snack bar junk ... my trick is to eat a lite fresh and inexpensive  Chinese meal beforehand ... split an order of  freshly made dumplings and a veggie stir fry with brown rice ..something  like that will keep me full and watching the movie  .. not in line for outrageously priced  snacks

Hee, you guys are great. I want to go to a movie with ALL OF YOU.

For the record, I brought an ounce of cheese and an eighth of a cup of cashews. Not bad. And Pacific Rim? Excellent. Full of monsters and robots and explosions.

I have a basement but don't dwell in it full time.

My doc allows popcorn in moderation so the last time that I went to see a movie was when I was 4 months out and I ordered a small popcorn with no extra butter.  I only ate a couple of handfuls throughout the entire movie and I did fine with it.  It satisfied the craving completely.  My surgeon and NUT are not strict.  I can basically eat whatever I can tolerate...within reason of course.   But I choose to eat no pasta, bread, rice or sweets.   It works for me.

I have been to the movies only once since my surgery, I took a iced tea in my large purse. On reading these replies, next time I will bring nuts or any small snack with my drink (usually water these hot days). The prices of snacks are indecisionrediculously overpriced at the movies.
