I guess they made them just for me! I love sparkles, glitter, feathers anything flashy! I'm divalicious and love my bling. Even my great grand daughter knows me well, she picked out a sparkly scarf for me for Christmas. Told her mom GGMa will love this it has sparkles everywhere. After it's been washed a few times most of them come off anyway. I can certainly understand working ladies not wanting sparkles everywhere, they should be diverse enough to have something for all of us. Too bad they don't realize we are the ones with money and are willing to spend it.
I feel your pain! I hated the way they made Plus size clothes.....I was young when I was MO and I did not want a T-Shirt with a Kitty playing with a ball of yarn on it, or a Sail boat I was not 90 years old! Or 4 years old for that matter. I have no idea why Plus size clothing makes feel they need to put glitter and animals on every piece of clothing they make......it is ridiculous.
I Shopped at LB of course because there is no where else to get a 3XL shirt without a freaking puppy wearing a bonnet printed on the front! But I hated spending 30 bucks on a T-Shirt when the regular size gals could pick one up for half that price made me so mad.
One of my best Plus size stores was JC Penny Believe it or not, they make really cute Plus size clothes that look exactly like the "normal" (whatever that is) sized stuff....problem is they only went up to a 26 and I think a 3XL at the stores at least maybe online they have a larger size selection. But they Prices were better than LB and the selection was really good.
Hang in there girlie...and fight the glitter! We should start an OH letter writing campaign to stop the glittering and animal picture placing on Plus size stuff!

I think I have a couple of glitter shirts - they are from when I was at my smallest size. I thought they were fun.
The tee shirts in the photo look exactly the way The Children's Place t-shirt piles do. I bought 6 of them with yoga pants for my neice's birthday in February. She turned 7 and they rock on her lol!
I loved Lane Bryant and The Avenue. Those stores were almost exclusive to me. I liked that they were all plus size and I was familiar with the stores and the sales. It was almost painful for me to need to shop in other places. My first time in Victoria's Secret I cried because I felt so overwhelmed with the sales people bugging me and just dealing with who I was in this small body. I had no idea of sizes but once I got the hang of being "small", there is nothing like it. To wake up and be able to put on anything and I mean anything is priceless. I am not "small" anymore and refuse to even buy any clothes. I racked up size 5-8's - a wonderful wardrobe - high end and mostly cheap. I'll have to lose the weight again if I want the nice stuff.
I've got to tell you that just the other day, I wished I could shop in Lane Bryant. I'd get the biggest bang for my buck with coupons and sales and stuff. I had some fly, fly clothes.
All Best,
Layla
I can find nice plus size clothes at Dress Barn. They have clearance items all the time sometimes up to 70% off. Once you shop there you will receive discount coupons either through email or US mail. I have several jeans that I bought there and they are stylish. When I was losing weight form my WLS surgery I found dress pants for work for around $7.00. I bought the size I was wearing and the next size down. They carry petite so the pants do not drag the ground. I have also found inexpensive tops and bottoms at Ross Dress for Less. You just have to hit them on the right day. If there is not much there in your size go another day and there might be a ton of stuff. They also carry name brand. I agree on the JMS when I find a sleeveless top there it might fit in one place but the arm holes are too big and show my bra. It seems to me you have to try them all on because they all fit different even though they are supposedly the same size. Good Luck!
