YUP ... OFF TO THE POOL TO SWIM LAPS!!! I could swim for HOURS at a time ... ohhhhh I so love to swim ... my favorite exercise of all .... I remember participating in so many swimming matches back in Panama in school ... swimming was second nature to us .....

This is my status as I head out of here and to the pool ...

OFF TO THE POOL TO SWIM LAPS ... my favorite exercise and de-stressor of all ... ohhh I could swim for hours at end ... at 6 years 3 months post RNY and keeping a total weight loss of 203 pounds off I am thankful for second chances ... this is my empowerment collage this day as I share snippets of my journey post weight loss surgery .... Over my mid fifties I got my life back with health and mobility on my battle against morbid obesity and its related diseases (5 of which are in remission) one day at a time ... one choice at a time... I pay it forward in my digital empowerment journal 'A Picture A Day Keeps the Pounds and the Inches Away'....

I love the pool also, but no swimming I just love floating around in the sun, can't wait for it to get hot.  You look great. Enjoy and have a safe trip.

Thank you beautiful! It was important for ME to swim on YESTERDAY .... I just felt the need to on the day that my sister's ashes were being taken out to sea at her favorite beach in Pedasí, Panamá my country of origin .... as I sat here and watched the entire ceremony through swype I felt the urge to swim ... I swam and cried and finally let Mela go ... to be free .. with God and the Universe ... it will be two months on the 22 and it really hits hard some days ... she loved to swim ... we all do ... we grew up in the water .... Here is my sister Rosita and my niece and Melas best friend bringing the urn out to sea.... We will be joining them in a couple weeks ... they had to advance the ceremony due to time constraints ... Yesterday was one of my roughest day...

she IS in a better place.... Thanks for allowing me to share....

Hey there beautiful sista!! Love love love the suit and the woman who fills it in also!! Yes, I totally agree with you about swimming! When I was in therapy after my RNY the physical therapist said to me I can literally see you melting each week!! I was a bit afraid of the water at first but in awe of all that it did for me afterwards!!

I need to get back and swim, too. I feel so light and weightless when I am in the water.  I can't really swim laps but can do exercises.  The Y where I live is quite expensive to join but I am seriously thinking of stretching my budget and joining anyway as I need to start some sort of program!!

Thank you so much for your snippets and pictures Martitia - I just love to read them and see them.  It gives me some hope that when I am down on myself for what I feel is a failure on my part, I look at you and see that determination and persistance and a good old to hell with that devil and I can do this!!!

Have a good time at home, get lots of sun  swimming and fun done and give us lots of snippets and pictures when you return ok?? Thanks again girl! You rock in that suit!!! Maybe someday I can get one??? LOL!!

Ohhhh girl! Those legs! They go straight up to your chin. You are rocking that swimsuit. I am a lot like you. I grew up on the beach and swimming is my thing.  It doesn't even feel like exercise to me. I get in the water and all the stress of the world just washes away.  When it comes my time to go, I hope my family lays me to rest in a place as lovely as the one your family has chosen for your sister.

I also wanted to say, way to freakin go on finding a healthy alternative to dealing with your loss. You are beautiful and inspiring and I love reading your posts.
