Please Read If you are a dedicated viewer of the Dr. Oz Show
I am desperately trying to view an episode that i caught only bits and pieces of the show that day, I barely caught one of the guests say something about too much calcium in the arteries causes heart attacks..I was in the middle of a conversation with my b/f when i barely heard a man say this.. just trying to verify that i really did hear that statement from that man on his show that day,, When i go to his website I am able to only view little parts of it and not seeing the part that i am looking for.. . maybe i am doing something wrong? I am thinking there's a way to watch the whole show as it was that day.. ALL OF IT....Can someone show me how i can view the whole show nothing left out that day?..March 27th..2013..thanks a bunch Wendy

Yes, research has shown that too much calcium can cause cardiovascular problems, especially for older women. I don't know about Dr. Oz, I watch sometimes, but just google it. Here is one of the articles

thanks for the tips..sure wish my cardiologist would educate me why this heart attack happened to me. I said before i eat 90-95 % healthy. Now thinking it was a combination of diabetes and too much calcium, I will be on the phone tomorrow morning asking more questions with both the wls surgeon's nurse and my cardiologist...

There were, in my opinion, some serious flaws in the study that showed a correlation between taking calcium supplements and heart attacks (and a correlation doesn't mean the calcium supplements caused heart attacks, either). I also don't think the results of the study apply to RNY patients with our malabsorption of micronutrients. I wrote a post about this on my blog: http://www.gastricbypasscoaching.com/study-links-calcium-sup plements-to-increased-risk-for-heart-attack/
