A battle lost a bigger victory won... R.I.P. my dearest sister...

In peace with God, the world, mankind, parents, brothers and sisters, family, friends and patients my sister Dr. Maria Carmela led the way to eternal rest at 12:35 a.m. this morning. I will remember her always with a smile as her last written request is we celebrate her life. Selfless, caring, loving, giving always of herself that was my Mela .. I celebrate her life today ... I will dry my tears and honor her wishes ... rest in peace my eldest sister ... I WILL LOVE YOU ALWAYS ... I FELT YOUR KISS ON MY CHEEK AS I SLEPT COUNTRIES AWAY FROM YOU THIS MORNING ... my eyes fluttered and I thought 'Mela' ... I was not surprised when I got the call from my baby sister Rosie ... I knew it was you kissing me goodbye .... I will live well always until I see you on the other side ... I will never forget all the years you preached to me to diet and exercise and lose the excess weight before it killed me ... I finally listened and you were my best cheerleader and coach and sister and mentor and friend and supporter ... YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN ... I WILL HONOR YOU IN LIFE AND IN DEATH ALWAYS!

I am so sorry, Martita. Your sister sounds like a wonderful woman,  Your promise to honor her is a wonderful legacy to her.  Hold your other sister Rosie close, and remember the love your sister Mela showed you.

I lost a sister nine years ago from complications of WLS and I miss her every day.  My thoughts are with you.

I am sending you e-hugs today. You have been through much in your life and this is another tough one. Celebrate her life, mourn your loss, and heal well, my friend. I haven't lost a sibling but have lost a daughter too young so I know how the loss is bitter sweet.

My condolences,

Sue

Gracias amiga.  Es difícil no llorar ni estar triste.  Me va a costar mucho tiempo reponerme pero voy a tratar ..así lo hubiese querido ella.
