If you can figure out why you overeat then you can make a plan for dealing with those triggers. When you are eating think about why. Is it hunger or do you use food to cope with disappointment, rejection, boredom, or as a reward for a good job? Figure out a better way to deal with the emotions that get you to eat.

Thank you for posting this. I am trying to implement this and it is so hard. I am an emotional eater and have so many memories and feeling associated with food.

Well, maybe it's time to get more support.  Find a good Life Coach or a counselor who specializes in food issues.  Sometimes we can't do it alone. Huuugzzzz
