You may be lactose intolerant now...try one that is not whey based at all...like a soy or egg based protein.

If you do stick to whey based protein, make sure the first ingredient listed is whey protein isolate NOT concentrate or blend.

And get RID of the scale!

The scale is your enemy get rid of it. Stalls are normal. I was the same way but have learned to stay away from the scale the only time I weigh is if I go to the dr. I am 8 months out and have stalled many times among the way. Congrats on joining the loser club. Good luck on your journey

Hi, The broths May not help enough for hunger, but they will keep you hydrated. I primarily use Body Fortress due to the high protein content. But, I just tried Jillian Michael's powder, and if you like chocolate (which I do!) it has an amazing flavor! Sounds as if you may be sensitive to milk. All the powders you mentioned are made with whey. Try pea based, rice, and soy based protein. Hope this helps.

I LIKE all of the ones I have tried (Rachel Ray's was awesome) The problem is they don't like me ... I also switched to silk milk (soy) didn't help ... I have had broth for a month, I am all set with that ... I can't choke it down ... And Jello OMGoodness I don't EVER think I'll have another jello as long as I live !!

Haha! I feel ya! Definitely call your Dr. tomorrow. In the meantime look for rice or pea based protein and mix with water. And, drink slowly!!

Most protein shots are made with collegan protein which is an incomplete protein that won't do you any good. I've heard lots of good things about Jay Robb protein, if you're lactose intolerant. Maybe try Vitalady's sample packs, so you can test them out before purchasing a huge tub. Also, have you tried the Unjury Chicken Soup flavored protein? It's a nice change when the sweet ones get a little old. I love the Isopure Smoothie flavors. They are ready to drink (RTD) and come in 3 flavors. I purchase mine through Vitamin Shoppe. The Isopure Zero Carb drinks?? Disgusting!! The bottom line is you need to find something that will give you the protein your body needs to preserve your muscles. If your not getting enough protein in your eating plan, your body will start use muscle as fuel, instead of fat. It's not just bicep type muscle. Your heart is a muscle too and the last thing any of us needs is to lose cardiac muscle. You're eating for fuel, which is important to remember. Granted, if something tastes terrible, I won't eat it either. Are you taking a PPI, like Prilosec? If I forget to take mine, my stomach gets upset and feels like milk is curdling in there. I need it sometimes more for that, than heartburn. Do you have a nutritionist? He/she should be able to give you other ideas to help get your protein in. I'm not sure what phase your in, but have you tried Wendy's chili? Yum. I wouldn't recommend this very often, but every once in a while I will get Taco Bell's pinto beans & cheese. I then ask for a side (or 2) of their chicken. I mix them all together and it tastes like a burrito without the tortilla.
