Going home today :)

So I've been here since Monday morning & I am getting ready to leave some time this morning ... My RNY Gastric Bypass went great, I am doing well... I have a lot of gas at this point ... I walked for miles in this place and still no relief ... So last night I positioned the bed so that the head was all the way down and the foot/butt was as high as it would go ... HAHAHAAA !! I got rid of some of the gas but unfortunately not all of it ... It will go in time, I suppose ... The people here at the hospital have been awesome to me this time ... When I had my lap band done, they were ROTTEN !! Any way this time they have redeemed themselves :)

    I am heading to take a shower & packing my things, I'll be back on after I get home sometime ... Thank you all for your thoughts & prayers ... They mean A LOT !!

try heating pad on your belly for gas. it really does help get rid of gas pain and help move the gas thru. it also helps heal faster. that is what the nurses told me when i was in hospital. I swear by it. i was in hospital 2 days and when i got home i only needed heating pad for 1 more day after i got home. no gas pain. make sure you have your pj's or something between your belly and the heating pad. dont just lay it on your bare belly.

Congrats. Have to say i am super jealous that you get to go home! Take care and they say the gas will go away in a week or 2.
