Oh, get your mind out of the sewer, you guttersnipes! I'm talking about music playlists for the gym!

I have been getting tired of the same old songs and am looking for some suggestions. What *I* like are songs that run 100 beats per minute (BPM) and have rhythm that gets me motivated. So, here are some of MY "Gym Mix" songs (and no, I don't expect you to have heard of all of the artists):

Buddy Holly, "Rave On"

Jason Mraz, "You and I Both", "No Stopping Us"

Pink, "Blow Me", "Raise Your Glass", "F**king Perfect", "Bad Influence", "Funhouse", "Glitter in the Air", "So What", "Stupid Girls"

It's funny coming here and finding your post. I just added two new songs to mine.  Gotye - somebody that I used to know. LOVE this song! See it's on you list.  Also added today Maroon5 - moves like Jagger and whew that one gets you moving! I just played it three times in a row and danced around the house like a crazy woman! Lol

Also have:

Adam Lambert - whataya want from me

Lady Gaga - you and I, also Born this way

Katy Perry - Firework

Edited to add some I remembered from my old list, and went to iTunes and added tonight.

Blues Traveler - Run Around

Linkin Park - In The End

I lost an old song list so am still building this one.  I have the whole Gaga cd on here and one from a group from Atlanta called Gra - Exit the cave I got from one of the band members I met online about ten years back or so.  It has some good ones on there to get you moving.

Asked hubby tonight if it was weird/wrong for a 50 year old (young) woman to like Lady Gaga.  Well, if it's wrong I don't want to be right or vice versa, it goes something like that. Lol

Thanks for sharing your list!

BETTE-well..I knew MOST of them !!! I had my 23 y/o son review your lists, and he said he would get them loaded to my IPOD..yes..I still use an old fashioned IPOD shuffle..and I don't even know how to load the thing myself...But I DO know how to trust YOU, so I know your music will get my flabby @zz moving..

My "list" is more electic, than I even know..the above referenced son keeps it done for me..he knows me well...I'll be hearing AC/DC one mile, and Rick Springfield or the Cowsills the next..about the time I'm about to die, all of a sudden the theme to "Rocky" or good old "Bat Out of Hell" will kick in and I manage to get myslef back to the car...

GREAT post !

When I work out, I listen to rap music with lots of cursing. It's my "guilty pleasure " enlightened
