Weighing on Different scales

I went to my first consultation at Team Bariatrics.  They weighed me on some electronic scales that measures BMI, Muscle Weigh****er Weight, Fat Weight.  I weighed 382 a week ago.  I went for my fitness appointment today and weighed 398.5. That is 16.5 more pounds than 1 week ago.  This is very frustrating.  The nurse told me it wasn'****er weight gain and it could be my metabolism.  Has anyone ever experienced this?

So not on the same scale, right?

I weigh differently on different scales, so I pick one to use as my correct weight. All others are liars and are to be treated accordingly.

I fight badgers with spoons.

You are correct, it was not the same scale.  They are the same type of scales, electronic.  I will use your tip.

Thanks:)

Was it a different time of day? Different clothes? Different scale?

It actually was around the same time of day, don't remember what I was wearing last week, but yes, it was a different scale, at the same office.  Both electronic.

I am glad I am not the only one:)  I know scales need to be periodically adjusted, but I assumed that because both scales were electronic, they would have the same result.  Obviously I was wrong.

Hi!

If your insurance is paying for the surgery, and if the insurance is going to request your weight history- then the only weight I would focus on will.be the scale that lives at the office the insurance will be requesting the records from.

Congrats on your path!!

peace,

T

I agree. I had to do that. It is rough, but it keeps you in check.
