I felt depressed and powerless watching the tragic events this weekend and then I thought what if each of us donated a toy or a coat or groceries (whatever we could) in the name of one of the victims who lost their lives. It's just a small gesture but it was something in my power to do from 3000 miles away:

I hope others will consider doing the same.

My sister posted something in FB yesterday about doing 26 acts of kindness, one for each life taken. I laughed and told her that I try to do one everyday ANYWAY. I only live 20 miles away and even *I* can't think of what to do to help anyone. It's such a horror.

I DID read that the elementary school will, most likely, NOT be opening again, ever, and that their new schoolroomsl would probably be in need of a lot of school supplies to get going. Maybe send a Staples gift card to the address above?
