"600 lb. Mom" on TLC Passes Away Two Weeks After WLS
some of the replies on hear are disheartning. you all have wls and think that gives you the right to say whatever you feel. show some compassion for this woman and her fam. she was ill and couldnt control her eating. the dr thought he was helping her have a chance at a better life. she just mentally was not ready.
True, we don't have to live as she did, and I'm personally grateful I never got up to her weight.
At the same time, as a person who has battled weight all her life, I feel heartbroken for this woman and her family.
It gives us a glimpse of the sad state we could be in if not for the grace of whatever directs our genes and fates.
She likely either ate herself to death or got sicker because she was refusing to try any kind of exercise. This is really sad, and a story about addiction and codependence as much as any family dealing with alcoholism or heroin addiction.
I'm surprised too that they operated on her but maybe her health was so bad that it was a hail mary pass.
