Tomorrow the 4th is my date. Won't know until I wake up whether I'm having the sleeve or a bypass. Talk about stress. lol Good luck to all of the December ops. See you on the losers bench!

Wow, good luck!  Why don't you know your procedure?  With your BMI, I would insist on a Sleeve so that the option for a 2nd stage DS is a very open door.

I wish you the very, very best.

May God Bless you.

What????  Can you please give more information on this??  I cannot even imagine having surgery being these are two different types without knowing, unless there is a medical reason they won't know which one until they get in there due to some physical problem.  Jane

Well i want the  sleeve but my insurance wont pay for it. I have a high bmi and previous hernia repair and if he would have to convert to open then he will just give me a sleeve and can bill as done because of a complication. So yeah I wont know until after I wake up. Trying not to be nervous. Ive researched and prepared for either one so I will be thankful for whatever I wake up with. Wish me luckindecision

Well, I hope you have no complications, but I hope they do the sleeve for you.  I really believe it's best to retain as much of your normal anatomy as possible.  Whatever you end up with, I wish you the very best success!

I'm so glad to hear you are prepared for both!  Good luck and best wishes to getting your surgery of choice!
