Ms. Vicari is well-known for her Blog, The World According to Eggface, which is designed to support individuals in their life-long journey with obesity. She is a strong advocate for the OAC, having participated in the OAC's Day on the Hill in Washington, DC, last year and was recently the recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Membership Recruitment by an OAC Member award. Through Shelly's blog, she has helped countless WLS'ers with their healthy lifestyle through recipes and inspirations she shares as a successful WLS post-op. Beyond her blog, she is heavily involved in the WLS community by joining us as a speaker at our OH Conferences and as an advocate working with the OAC.
The management and staff of ObesityHelp appreciate the work of the OAC, and send our best wishes to OH member, Eggface (Shelly), as we collectively help people affected by obesity and the bariatric community.
Awww thank you for this post. xo. I'm jazzed about serving on the OAC Board.
If you guys aren't members... go now. Best $20 you will ever spend. The Obesity Action Coalition is a tireless voice for those affected by obesity, there's a saying, "sticks in a bundle are unbreakable" one person's voice is great but all of us together.... unstoppable. Along with the representation in advocacy issues for those affected by obesity fighting for access to treatment, bias, discrimination, etc., they are an awesome educational resource, next year plan to attend the OAC convention, it was amazing.
Anyway... LOL enough with the commercial. Seriously though we are a stronger voice together.
Thank you again OH family,
~Michelle "Shelly" (aka Eggface)
