Is gastric sleeve possible with liver tumor?

 I recently decided to go ahead and have gastric sleeve when test results from another health issue revealed I have a sizable tumor on my liver in section 4.  My gp feels it is benign in the absence of illness even though MRI and ct could not identify what type of tumor.  Have yet to see liver specialist or bariatric surgeon.  If tumor is benign and will not be removed will bariatric surgeon still perform gastric sleeve?  Anyone else have an issue like this?

  I am sorry about the tumor, but there are too many variables of tumors that only a specialist can diagnose.  Even if someone had a remote chance of having something similar it depends on so much and this is information that needs to be given to you by your team of doctors.  Best of luck, keep us updated.   Jane

 Thanks for the response.  I have googled the situation but no information came up probably because like you said there are to many variables.  I was just wondering if a tumor was an automatic disqualification for gastric sleeve.  I go see the liver specialist on the 9th so I guess I will find out more then.
