Does anyone have Caresource Insurance(Ohio) ?

 Hello,  I also have Caresource in OH.   I have just begun my research in to this surgery.  II have been overweight since High School.   I have lost my aunt and mother to heart attacks, my maternal side of my family has diabetes, hypertension, and 3 have died of heart attacks.  I have not even gone to a doctor yet, I think I am afraid to be told they wont help me.   Any advice? 

Does anyone know if Caresource pays for bariatric surgery?  If so how do i get syarted , i live in Springfield ohio, but i don't think there is any bariatric surgeon's here, do i half to go through a doctor ir can i go straight to the surgeon?  Sooo many questions.  I am just really wanting to get this started 

I know this late but hopefully it help someone in the future. Yes, Caresource OH pays for the WLS. I had mine done on August 26, 2014. My highest weight was 333, I had HBP (three meds), Pre-diabetic, arthritis in the back and both knees due to my weight, sleep apnea (wear cpap machine) and some breathing issues. I was required to do a 9 month supervised maintenance with my PCP.  It did not take long to get approved. I just had to stay on top of the folks that needed to send the paperwork off. Also, it would help too if you take any kind of advise that your PCP offers. My PCP asked me several times if I would like to see a dietician and I declined several times because I saw one like 5 yrs ago. But I decided to do it only because I thought it would help me get that approval from the insurance. My case manager told me that they look over EVERYTHING. I hope this helps.

Curious if you were approved. I also see Dr. Schumacher. I have a rare fat cell disease called Lipedema.. I'm hoping because of that I can get approved.  Still waiting to see if I can even get Caresource :/
