Extremely tired

I am 1 month post op, I am getting all my food, protein, vitamins in but I am so tired. Is this normal?
Think about what your body has been through. It has been opened up (even if done laproscopically, you still have 4-5 wounds that are healing), its insides rearranged and sectioned off, and you are now able to eat very few calories. Your body is doing its normal thing -- and screaming "WTF happened???!!!" You're in the midst of a major recovery, and you will be for some time, even after the outside wounds are healed. But the energy will pick back up soon, so soon that you will almost forget how tired you are now. Be kind to yourself and be gentle. You're on the path of a new life, and it will take awhile to adjust. Notice the changes, acknowledge the frustrations, and enjoy the journey. Good luck!!

I took naps daily for the first month or two. I was off on one month sick leave post-surgery and I also took one month of vacation. It was the best decision for me to ease into my new lifestyle. I would get up each morning and start my regime of trying to get all my nutrition and liquids into me. I would go out and do some form of walking too. I found that by afternoon I was ready for a nap and then by 10 or 11 p.m. I could sleep again.
If your lab work shows that your iron levels are okay, then it could be just surgical fatigue. Your body is still healing.

Thank you so much for all your replies. I guess I already knew the answer but getting input from the voices of experience helps so much!
