10 years ago today I had my Gastric Bypass....And, it failed
Bronwen, what an excellent response!! The RNY has worked for me I continue to maintain below goal 7 years out. Today though, should I be looking into WLS based on stastics I'd without a doubt choose the DS.
Long-term I do believe the DS is the best surgery out there right now for a better chance of lifetime success. I wish that insurance companies had to pay for WLS (that it couldn't be excluded) and those that currently do were required to pay for all types.

I wish I could have had the DS myself. My surgeon wouldn't do it because I "wasn't heavy enough". So I know where you're coming from there Heather. And this was just 2 1/2 years ago.
