My flooded garden...
Rain drops the size of rocks pelted down creating major floods and traffic jams .... as well as detours....
This is the view from my driver side window trying to get home from work on Friday and we just had a double dose of rain on top of that YIKES...the entire road had to be blocked off to get on the highway and traffic was backed up for hours trying to get on the post road .....
I worried about my poor zucchini plants and tomatoes and my poor garden that my husband and friend so meticulously take care of ..
Well DH and DS are not home and I hate venturing out back there but when the rain let up I peeked .... just yesterday morning I bought zucchini and tomatoes from my garden for a friend at work and I fretted worrying whether I killed the plants or not because I DO NOT HAVE A GREEN THUMB ... and vegetation wither as soon as I come in contact with it ... I can't win for trying ...
My garden is FLOODED .... and on the ground I meandered in quicksand-like dirt to pick these up that the heavy rain knocked down...
AWESOME zucchini and tomatoes from my garden ... and I ran back inside .... I hope hope hope these lovely plants survive until their term ....
Look how big and awesome these are .... and from my own garden WOOT .... we shall have zucchini casserole with crushed tomatoes/basil/rosemary and three cheeses for dinner again YUM!
I did not do much today and will be vegging the rest of the day ... my morning was tied up in zumba then I went over to the main shop to pick up some long straight wigs for a sista on here and of course I picked up an outrageously long one for moi that I shall rock with a gown should the storms stay gone and DH and I go out tonight....
This is my picture entry in my journal A Picture a Day Keeps the Pounds And the Inches Away today...
Thanks for allowing me to share ....

You look great! I saw the flooding on the news, we went out for lunch for our anniversary because I saw how much rain was coming and we wanted to get back before the strom came. We got home right in time for the tornado warnings in the exactly location that we had just left (in Manchester). Apparently they locked people in the mall and Home Depot and kept them safe. Glad we were home and missed the whole scary scene. It was ironic because my bf's brother suggested we go to dinner at a restaurant in Glastonbury which didn't open until 4pm. We would have been right where they think the tornado hit had we taken that advice. Luckily I prefer shopping to eating and picked the place that meant we could go to Sophora also ,Evergreen Walk. Today the weather has been sucky also, not even any pool time. :(
I am so glad you followed your own instinct ... that is scary ... Traffic was so bad and so backed up and some drivers were just totally being reckless and crazy ... it was a mess .. I was so glad to get home. Today we had an equally heavy downpour ... I am glad my basement is not flooded a couple of our neighbors further down the road were not that lucky....
I love Sephora and I love love love driving up to Farmington to West Farms Mall to hit up both the Sephora and the Mac counters .... there is an awesome guy at Mac that has all my needs down pat....
To bad the weather is interfering with your pool time ... you can certainly ROCK a bikini ... and have an awesome body for it ... have to enjoy the pool before the snow comes ...
