That is awesome. We all need to periodically take stock of where we've been to keep us headed in the right direction. I will never be Mr. Universe but I take the wrinkles, excess skin, and man boobs as badges of honor of the accomplishments in the weight loss and better health that I have achieved. The surgery just gives us the tool, but it is up to us to use it and be successful.

While he may not even be NEAR a normal or healthy BMI, he still beats the regular RNY maintenance stats, particularly for 10 years out. He is viewed as a success by bariatric standards. If he's happy with that, so be it.
