10 Years ago today.
I am celebrating my ten year surgery anniversary today. Seems like a lifetime ago. I looked at all the pictures, watched a video, and just sat here for a moment and was very thankful for all the things that surgery did for my life. I know sometimes I forget how it felt to be 626lbs but after ten years I can still remember. Maintained just over 300 lbs of weightloss for 10 years. I can live with that.
I started my journey on this website. So it seemed fitting to come here and share the 10 year news.

Looks like we are surgery buddies... Except I had mine 8 years after you... i wish I had gotten the DS 10 years ago... I was only 16 but sure as heck needed it then! I looked into RNY when I was 17 but my parent's insurance didn't cover it (total exclusion). Had to wait until I got a decent job with decent insurance at age 24 to get the DS.
Congrats on our weight loss!!
