I saw this somewhere and thought it applied to many on this journey and many others , especially myself, so thought I would share it.
"Stage 1: When you are so sick to death to what's plaguing you that you won't put up with it for one more second of one more minute of one more hour of one more day. You are so sick of it that no matter how scary it looks on the other side, screw that I am through with this, I cannot and will not put up with this another day in my life. When you claim this position you change."
I am definitely here. I am sick and tired of dealing with the struggles and health issues with being super morbidly obese. I am willing to make these changes and have started already. I am ready to change. Thank you for reading. It's been a bad week and felt I needed to reset myself.
I still have not had surgery, been fighting for 4 years now and this quote helps me to remember why I am doing this, and also to just read when people around me are asking why I would do something drastic as surgery.

Lovely post, but out of curiosity why has your fight been so long? What reason do they give for rejecting you?

They rejected me due to not being medically necessary, despite I meet all of their requirements. Just delays and rejections that took the 4 years. No one in network so I had to go through the DMHC.

Great quote. this is EXACTLY how I felt. Keep going and don't give up. The insurance denied me twice and I had to appeal several times before I was approved.

It was on the Dr. Phil show actually. I looked up on his website and I guess those are all 4 of the steps, not just step 1
