What is the average cost? How much was yours?..I'm ready to start researching..I had a consult with a surgeon a year ago , said he would not work on me because of my heart history..over 4 hours of work needed...

Are there any surgeons that would work on a heart patient?..

Why would you want a surgeon to work on you if you could die from the surgery?  Doesn't seem worth the risk.  Spend the money on clothes that make you feel beautiful that have enough sleeves to cover the problem area.  And enjoy your life of mobility while you can.

He was just one surgeon..Maybe do one arm at a time, shorten the surgery time..someone may take me....I was awake when i had all my stents placed in my arteries..

If you have clearance from your cardiologist, then call for consults with reputable surgeons in your area and see what they say.

It's the surgeon's option whether to take you on as a patient. You may have to visit several plastic surgeon's before you find one that will do surgery for you.  It may be more expensive as your plastic surgeon may only do surgery on you in a bonifide hospital. To save $$, many plastic surgeon's have their own recovery facilities, but they wouldn't be able to handle a heart emergency.  So a hospital environment, with added costs, may be your only option with a surgeon.  That's an intriguing tidbit...If you ever feel like telling the $500 Hungarian lipsuck story I'd be fascinated to hear it!

Are you talking about brachioplasty? When you say "underarm" surgery it sounds like surgery for your armpit, which doesn't make sense.

Brachioplasty costs greatly depend on where you are. It seems to range from $3,000-$15,000. Mine was $3900 in 2009.
