Update (pre-op)

Haven't posted here for a few weeks, so just wanted to say hello and update.

My IMR for an endocrinologist was approved and she is pro-DS and is going to write me a letter of support for my IMR for the DMHC.

The IMR for my DMHC was put on hold, as I was told it would automatically be denied. I found out why from requesting my own records. Some dr said stuff like "high risk of failure", "high risk for PE/DVT", etc so now I am seeing a doctor to disprove this and then getting a LOMN to support my IMR and turn it into a request for surgery instead of just a request for a consult. I have to self-pay for this consult, unfortunately, but may get re-imbursed for it later if I get approved.

So I have an appointment with Dr. Rabkin on July 23 at 10am and am attending his support group next week if anyone wants to come say hello :)

So glad things are finally starting to look like they are heading in the right direction again. Been trying for 4 years, and still trucking along as the phrase goes.

But my advice for those out there struggling, is to request your own records. So glad someone told me to do so. Hope everyone is having a fantastic summer!
