Barbara - I understand your frustration.  If we could lose the weight, we wouldn't have come to this point in our lives anyway, would we?  Here's my suggestion.  Continue with the low carb, but make sure that you get some extra fiber in a couple of times a day.  When I had trouble before, I used Benefiber -- tasteless and colorless, it mixes into just about anything and will keep you regular (or maybe move things along a bit more quickly) when you're eating mostly protein and veggies.  The DS sounds like a really good option for you.  Wi**** had been available to me.  I now have bad hypoglycemia from my RNY and, if I need a laxative, all I need to do is take a bite of a cookie.  Half an hour later  . . . well, you know.

If you can, get out and walk.  Even if it's only around the block a couple of times.  Just moving a bit every day really helps to get the weight off.  It can really help.

All the best to you.  I hope you're able to make the weight and get your surgery under way!

It took me a year to lose the 10% I was required to lose.  I, too, was extremely frustrated.

Have you thought about Medifast, Optifast, Wonderslim, or any of the other liquid-type diets out there?
