What did/do you dream of doing?

THIS is the real wonfder of bariatric sutrgery - how it gives us our ( hijacked ) lives and dreams back ...
I'm so glad to hear and see people talking about the incredible POSITIVES here because sometimes all I hear is kvetching and a focus on just " maintaining " our health AS IF we are still afraid to jinx things by admitting something profoundly wonderful happened in our lives .
I personaly think the key to maintenance IS to appreciate the opportunity we've been given to resume our personal growth ..
and that all the grwoing pains are WORTH it . We're WORTH taking our own time and trouble for - and creating wonderful lives for ...
But it is worth it, and it's the really little things that usually remind me of that. Every day that I get on the subway and don't feel bad about sliding into a seat next to someone, or the times that I go to the doctor and don't get "the weight lecture," it reminds me that I'm doing okay.

Skydiving was just...incredible. I never thought I'd have the guts to go through with it. My dad, fiance, and I all went together, so I had some influences.

-sit with my legs crossed
-sit in my Baltimore Ravens stadium seat and be able to turn and have a conversation with the guys behind me without having to stand up
-feel comfortable on an airplane
- have energy to take my dogs for hikes, and I mean hikes to wear their little butts out...
-be able to keep up with my dogs as I try to teach them agility
- throw my C-Pap out the window...no longer be a cyborg
I've got a whole lot of others but time constrained (i'm at work)
Congrats on your engagement and your exciting life... I could never/ever ever jump from a plane...too scary...
Haha, sitting with my legs crossed was a revelation in itself. I went to try it one day and was amazed that it worked!
Good luck to your Ravens this season, even though I'm a die hard Steelers fan.
