Today I had my 4 month check up with my surgeon. Sounds like to him everything is looking good except my Vitamin D, so I will be working on that. I know that some surgeons have a different standard than we should have for our labs so I am hoping that someone can take a look and let me know if I should be concerned about any of this.

As a nurse, I don't see anything too out of whack.  Low vit D can be corrected with supplements which will continue after the surgery along with others.

Is that a fasting bloodwork?  If so, your glucose looks too high.  Otherwise, it's fine.

It is fasting, I am diabetic. The number is a far cry from what it used to be, but not where it should be yet either.

I few issues.
1. iron - ferritin 48 - is not optimum. I hope you taking iron. How much - most lily you need to increase. Soem iron deficincy symptoms show when ferritin drops below 50... YOU NEED IRON... (contact VItalady - and start getting lots of iron.)
even MCV= 79 shows smaller RBC - (80-99) mariginally - but indication of low iron.

2. Vita D - yu need more. What VIT D is it? what test? some means nothing...

You need to get that ferritin up. Some hemotalogists will give infusions for a ferritin of 40.
