Hello all. I am new to the forums here. I am in the process of getting my ducks in a row to have this surgery done. My BMI is 59.5, so pretty much the only option my surgeon, Dr. Strand feels comfortable with for me would be the roux-en-y, which I am fine with, that is what I want. I need some advice, though. I have Iowa Medicaid. I have 3 months worth of supervised dieting done, 3 to go. I also have the mandated psych eval and dietician done. Does anyone else have Iowa Medicaid and had this done recently? How long did it take to get your decision after you got your six months done?
