Eating Good in the Neighborhood....Shaking the bootay to move/lose/maintain...
You are such an inspiration. I just don't get the running. I always say that the only way you will catch me running is if there is someone after me with a knife.
I have started back riding my bike. I was waiting for the weather to get better but I decided to tough it out and live with a little cold and rain. It hasn't killed me yet. I feel so good when I use my body.
I love what you say in your signature line "having implemented lifestyle changes". That was the part I didn't get. I had WLS in 2002 and I thought the surgery would do everything for me. Of course I failed. I didn't implement any changes. I got a free ride for a couple of years, still managed to stay at a fairly normal BMI for the first 5 years and then the weight came piling back on.
This time I always say that the surgery doesn't choose what food I am going to eat today. All it does is make it uncomfortable if I choose the wrong things or amounts. Knowing the way I am, some discomfort, or even pain, isn't always enough to keep me from eating destructively.
Today for breakfast I had my usual protein decaf and protein pudding with some sugar free cool whip.
For lunch, maybe some chicken drumsticks and/or some of the meaty beans I made, which came out pretty good if not a bit spicy. I finally made something in my crock pot that even my daughter will eat so that is a victory.
I will probably have a protein black bean brownie for a snack. Don't laugh, they are pretty good.
Dinner will probably be some taco casserole on a tostado with some sour cream.
The evenings are when I do a lot of snacking. I'll probably have some more protein pudding, some popcorn with butter and a protein cookie.

I love that protein black bean brownie ... care to share the recipe or are they store bought? You have an awesome spread there ... I LOVE SPICY TOO... and meaty beans...
Bike riding is AWESOME ... I still struggle with the seat hurting my bun like bad... so I'll run and swim and you do the biking for me at the next mock triathlon LOL...

I use Nik's recipe except I don't add the mint flavoring and I add some protein powder.
I went out and bought a nice padded seat for my bike and fortunately it doesn't hurt, surprising since I have zero padding in that area. Do you have a gel seat?

Protein shake for breakfast every weekday morning. Lunch was a Chobani Champions chocolate chunk yogurt (for kids, a little carby, but a treat) and some beef jerky.
This is a gym night so 30 mins treadmill at 3.2, 15 mins stationary bike and 20 mins resistance machines.
Martita, are you and your hubby coming to Atlanta for the OH conference? Pretty please with some Greek yogurt on top?!
