OK, I'm gonna be petty here. Don't care, it's b*tchfest, right?

I had Glamour Shots done last week as my "Woohoo! I made goal!" celebration. So far so good.

I tend to drop inches kinda all at once without warning - stay in one size for a month then next week the inches plummet and I'm completely in another size.

So one week to the day from my Glamour Shots, I'm down a clothing size. REALLY, body? You couldn't have done that ONE LOUSY WEEK earlier?

Yes. I'm shouting.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

I think it was somewhere around second grade or so that I learned the difference between, "you're" and "your."  We gradually learned about, "there, they're and their" and it was AWESOME. At some point, we even learned how to spell bigger words... and there was much rejoicing, since knowing how to read meant that we could understand when our parents spelled out secret words that they thought we wouldn't know. We could read books and learn about all sorts of amazing things. New avenues of communication were opened!

WHEN did SPELLING WORDS CORRECTLY become extinct? Even the damned news stations are idiots. The people who are going to be "running the world" in 20 years don't know how to fill out a damned job application without using text speak like a gorilla who has been taught rudimentary communication skills.

Also, my guts are killing me. I have gastritis, ulcers and a hiatal hernia and these things are making my life MISERABLE. I wake up in pain, I spend the day in pain, I go to bed in pain. Thanks again, lapband, for the wonderful damage you caused my guts. And I'm fat again, so at least there's THAT.  At least I have reading skills to research. I guess that's the silver lining?

Nertz, I'm with you on this one. My personal pet peeve is the use of the apostrophe---or, rather, the mis-use of the apostrophe. Thee's a store near here named "Video's Plus". For years I've wanted to ask exactly what the 'plus' is that the video owns.

Yoiks.  MsBatt, please go into the store and ask to speak to Video?  I correct the misspelling of "Brussels Sprouts" in the grocery store EVERY time I go in. They have them labeled as "brussel sprouts" and I whip out my trusty red Sharpie and go to town.   I carry my Sharpie with me everywhere... just in case.

I thought you were talking to me for a minute because "cat lover" has me blocked. So, I signed out to see the whole thread!  I was like, "When did I mention God or prayers in my grammar rant!?"

Ok here goes...

1) I am pissed beyond pissed that a group I joined for lap banders is so rude and obnoxious when I've expressed my nervousness about only having lost 12 pounds since surgery (12/30/11), and how I'm not feelign any restriction, and how I'm driving myself batty with it. Now, I don't expect to be coddled, but being told "stop worrying, some of us didn't lose weight at first," is not going to help!

2) I hate this freaking East Coast weather **** you cold **** you snow, and **** those around me who are praying for a snow day so we don't have to go to work. It's called vacation days, if you're stressed, TAKE ONE ALREADY!

3) I hate bills. 'Nuff said.

But I love you all for this board. It's very literally what keeps me sane on some pretty insane days. Thanks!

P.P.S. Thanks in advance for accepting my overuse of the smileys today. It's just one of those days, lol.

I can do this...I know I can. It's just going to take time & patience.
