Semi-OT: The guy who called Adele "fat"
For those who don't know anything about this gift to humanity, KL is yet another former fattie who now has a sanctimonious, overblown sense of self.
He's also got his own diet (rolling eyes) to go along with all the other dubious and temporarily successful celebrity diets. Here are the "cons" of his diet. Just what we need: deprivation, punishment, a focus on appearance, and promotion of plastic surgery!
Maybe it's just me, but perhaps "designers" (especially those cannot bear to wear any color other than black) should stick to putting hideous, overpriced clothes on stick-figure models and leave "diet tips" to people who know a little something about nutrition.
Cons
- Initial phases of the diet are very low calorie and dieters will likely experience hunger and feelings of deprivation.
- Most dieters will not find a protein shake meal to be very satisfying.
- Many recipes include foods that may be expensive, unfamiliar or difficult to find.
- Lacking in essential fats.
- Encourages the use of artificial sweeteners.
- Gives some potentially dangerous advice such as chewing food and spitting it out which is known to be a trigger for eating disorders.
- Emphasizes appearance as the major reason to embark on a weight loss plan.
- Promotes cosmetic surgery such as rhinoplasty, breast augmentation and liposuction ( Vaser, Smart, and tumescent liposuction technique).
- Many readers will not relate to Lagerfeld’s attitudes and lifestyle.
Conclusions
Unlike most modern approaches to dieting Lagerfeld views hunger and deprivation as a part of weight loss and Lagerfeld even goes so far as to state that dieting has to be a form of punishment. He goes on to say that those who do not have enough determination and will power are destined for failure.
Apart from the obvious experience of deprivation that will occur on this diet, the nutritional intake of the dieter will be compromised, especially in the initial phases, and this is bound to have negative effects on the long-term health of the dieter. Perhaps most notable is the almost complete absence of fats, which will lead to an essential fatty acid deficiency.
Restricting calories and limiting food variety to such a degree is bound to produce results but dieters must be aware that this will not occur without a serious risk to both physical and psychological well being.
As to KL--rude, inappropriate, and an ass. Since I also fit that category, I will add that he is not aging well at all, and that he obviously goes blind when he looks in the mirror; he is buttugly and way too skinny himself (imagine him naked--BARF) and while I have no idea if he is gay, and could care less, anyone that effeminate looking absolutely cannot get away with the little rock star gloves, medallions and such, because it just looks silly. Also all that "product' on his ponytail hairdo makes it look like a mullet if in fact it isn't one, and still doesn't hl;d down his fuzzy grays. Karl, you FAIL at dressing yourself.

First Karl Lagerfeld said she was "too fat" and then he came out and apologized, saying that his words were taken out of context and he too knew the sting of being vilified for your weight in the press. But Adele has come forward to say she couldn't give a fat **** one way or the other because she's never aspired to be a model and is proud to offer a little balance when it comes to the representation of different body types in the media. "I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines," she said. "I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that." And it seems she's never been one to worry too much, saying last year that she tries to keep away from people who think weight is super-important. "I've seen people where it rules their lives, you know, who want to be thinner or have bigger boobs, and how it wears them down. And I just don't want that in my life," she said. "It's just never been an issue – at least, I've never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue. I have insecurities of course, but I don't hang out with anyone who points them out to me." [Daily Mail]
