P O I eat cereal with milk , most times its fiber one with milk , i eat it and go into sleep mode, with a rapid heart beat. after the heart slows back down of course.Very uncomfortable and sometimes scary .. i am a heart patient.. I am trying to remember if i had the same reaction Pre Op, I don't remember. I ate alot of it, craved it during my 2nd pregnancy..Have always loved eating cereal with milk. When I had my RNY I was told not to eat and drink at the same time so I have not had cereal and milk in four years...I think what is happening is that your body is reacting to the sugar in the cereal and the milk, RNY bypasses the douodenum that is the part of the intestine that processes sugars we eat, so the sugars are hitting your small intestine undigested and you are dumping!!!(Dumping is not always a bathroom event it can be racing heart, sweating, shaking)... the sleeping after is what some call a carb coma!!!
Since surgery I sprinkle some dry cereal on greek yogurt and eat it that way!!!

Um.
You're dumping. You had SX in 2007 -- you haven't noticed this before?
Skim milk contains 13 G carbohydrates - one half serving of cereal is easily 25 G ++ carbs. Welcome to coma.
Edited -- one half cup of Fiber One Original (Twigs) is 25 G carbs. One cup -- 50 + milk = 63 carbs = death. And, add fruit? Fun!

Skeered of cereal and milk together.
Have not tried it since my surgery.
Drink plenty of skim milk.
Enjoy Kashi sprinkled on my greek yogurt.
That's it.
(I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it tho')

That is the ONLY thing I can't eat post op. I can eat a bowl of full fat ice cream and still the reaction isn't as bad as cereal and milk. I stay away from it!
