My tax person said I could also deduct all vitamins, protein products, etc. that are required as a result of the surgery. Of course, this is all subject to the 7.5% of your gross income.

Yes, as long as you spent 7.5% over your AGI on medical treatments. I will be using mine as a write off as well.
