Who was the one person you wanted to reveal your WLS success to and why?
I was thinking about myself in regards to this question and realized it would be my dad.
My parents live out of state and everytime I see him (which istn too often) he always says wow Mick you look like youve lost weight or Wow Mick its look like youve gained a couple pounds. Theres no hi how are you , its straight to the weight.
Then when I told him about weight loss surgery, he was everything but supportive. All he keps saying was Mick, all you need to do is quit eating its that simple then youll finally lose that weight. If you quit stuffing yourself you wouldnt be so big. Then he compares me to my stepmom and says well if Sherry can lose weight so can you, why dont you join Curves too.
Soooo when I have accomplished success from my WLS I want to show my dad once and for all that hey I did this!!!

Probably my dad as well. I always felt like he was embarressed of my looks. Not that he would ever say so.. but he has sometimes made comments about me needing to lose weight. The last picture taken with me and my dad I was 3-4... I'm 24. There is one of the whole family from his wedding a couple years ago.. but it will be nice to get a good picture of my dad and me.
This is the last picture. Not that great of a picture.

Unfortunately, the one person I would love to have been able to see me thin would also be my dad but he passed away in May. Hes probably the one person *****ally would have been deeply overjoyed to see that I finally conqured my weight problem. Of course other family members will be pleased but he would have been really happy to the point of tears even though he never held my weight against me or implied that I was any less of a person because of it. I think my freedom from it would have just meant so much to him and I wish he was here to see it happen.
