A new me

Today I got the call from the community college accepting me into their school.

It really isn't a big deal to be accepted, It is just a community college. HOWEVER!

I was a high school drop out in 9Th grade. I got my GED in 2004 and swore I would never go back to school. I hated it so much because I moved over 20 times from 8-9Th grade, I never knew the curriculum.

But I need to do something for my future. I believe that since my surgery I have the confidence to do so much more. There is nothing holding me back!

I can't start until March, but that is fine. I am just so excited to start this new chapter in my life.

I am going for Early Childhood Education. I am very nervous about getting back into school, but I WILL do it.

I probably have never been prouder of myself. =]

Community Colleges are GREAT places! They have Wonderful resources & Open many Doors! What an exciting time! I wish you well ! :)

College is great! Who says Community Colleges arnt just as good as others? I got my Associates from a community college. Have you considered web classes? I used to hate them but since transfering to UMUC, they are all I take anymore, I CANT stand face to face.

I am going to be taking all the prerequisite classes online that I can with the exception of math, because I am horrible at it, and will need a lot of help. The college is about 1/2 hour away, so I will be saving gas and time doing it online.

Awesome! Community Colleges are WONDERFUL Places! Most Community Colleges take GREAT pride in returning students and helping with FREE tutoring & study labs ! Just ask :)

WLS is such a gift in so many ways... I have sat here for 12 years and watched Peoples life's change in so many AWESOME ways! Look at you starting College! Wahooooo ! I feel so Blessed seeing every ones life bettered , mine was too! Better works No matter how you look at it.

This last sentence may seem off topic to new folks... But, we ALL should COUNT our Blessings ... This site exists .. and its FREE!

When we all step back , and LOOK at how we truly got a a 2ND chance at life with WLS , got a Longer Life & Better Quality life on many levels ... Many of us started out ... HERE , or got Educated HERE , was offered Support HERE ! :)
