One-Day-Early B*TCHFest - let it all out!
For you NEW KIDS, HERE ARE THE RULES:
"B*TCHFest" is provided as a public service to those of us who have gripes and grievances but who (whom?), for whatever reason, lack a regular forum in which to air them. You are welcome to voice any problems - large or small, important, mundane or ridiculous - that currently have your panties wadded, your shorts frosted and your gears ground. Don't hold them in and risk future medical issues, wrinkles and/or those pesky gray hairs.
ANY and ALL issues that are plaguing you are open for you to voice; there are no "sacred cows." They say that "feelings aren't facts", so if you're feeling it, it's legit to you. NO ONE is allowed to flame a poster for something he or she writes, however commiseration is not only welcomed but encouraged. Please, no personal attacks against other OH members (at least, not by name) and PLEEZ! - NO SURGERY WARS!
I'll start you off with a few gripes of mine, and you all can join in at any time! No limits - come back as many times as you like!
WARNING! Adult content ahead! Posts may (and probably will) contain "adult" content and language. I know that MINE will. Rated TV-MA.
- Okay, what CAN people make jokes about anymore? No races/ethnicities/religions, no sexist jokes, no age jokes, no blonde jokes, no idiot jokes, no jokes about handicaps, no jokes about . . . anything. WTF? Is this why the world is so ******g depressed right now - because we can't laugh at ANYTHING?
- When you make eye contact with someone, give them a smile, a nod; a "How're you doing?" - and they don't respond at all. (_*_) ********! Appreciate the fact that at least one other person acknowledges your existence.
- People who leave voicemail messages and talk so fast that you have to listen to the thing three times before you can figure out who they are and you're STILL not sure what the hell they said. Especially when they reel off their phone # so fast you can't decipher it.
- Gotta go to the store and buy replacement blinds for the ones that SNAPPED IN HALF when I tried to raise them. WTF? When did I buy mini-blinds that were made of GLASS???
- Weather guys who are all excited because we got a half-inch of snow. It's January in CT, guys. It happens. Get over it.
- Drivers who are crapping their pants because we got a half-inch of snow. It's January in CT, guys. It happens. Get over it.
Oh, that's enough for now. I'm sure I will think of something laster. In the meantime, THIS made me giggle. So, here's a smile for the day:

My Husband has served nearly 50 years of Broadcast Excellence in Radio. I do understand the serious issues of piracy that exist , this legislation is mainly to protect Record Labels and Movie Studios that have driven this Legislation ( $$ Revenue Loss $$ ) BUT I see where Human Rights and Free Speech will also be compromised ! I see both sides. This legislation if passed will place the burden on the Internet companies to be the Police. A complex issue and this legislation is a can of worms at best. We know our Senators, they have been very BUSY on this issue... if Folks care they need to SPEAK UP!

MM , due to strong support from Constituents to stop SOPA / PIPA
Republican Florida, Senator Marco Rubio (Who I for see as a strong choice for a VP In 2012 ) has dropped his support for Web Censorship Bill. This legislation is " QUITE THE CAN OF WORMS". I understand the need for protecting "Creative Rights", how ever this can of worms.... may cause more issues then NOT across the board . I have been following this pretty closely myself . Due to a certain position , I have to be some what not so vocal about the situation. I am Glad some Folks have Spoken Out :)

I hate how you know a stall is inevitable and normal and blah blah blah....but it still makes you feel like crap!
I also don't understand why Graduate school is sooooo damn expensive.
I also miss being able to go pee by myself...without one of my three children or my husband knocking on the door! For the love of God let me do business BY MYSELF!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHH sigh of relief!

What is with people who STILL text and drive? Seriously? How many close calls do you need to have before you quit doing that?????
I still do not understand why a woman takes a man to the grocery store with her if all he's going to do is stand in the middle of the aisle with his hands in his pockets, taking up the space and impeding my view and my progress. Also, whole families doing the same thing.
WHY WHY WHY do people zip through tiny parking lots never, EVER expecting, god forbid, a CAR to inch backwards into oncoming traffic, and then proceed to go around me anyway ignoring my white back up lights that I KNOW WORK PERFECTLY WELL....and continue chatting or texting and driving like it's a test flat in Utah???????
I know there are more things to ***** about because I am so damn perfect, but I cannot think of any thing else at the moment. Besides, it's Tuesday now and I have to think of new stuff by Friday. The real rant day.
Carry on.

My wedding anniversary was this past Sunday. My dh forgot for the 2nd year in a row. I find that I don't care enough to be mad about it. That probably isn't a good sign.

My husband forgot ours last year. Which would have really PISSED ME OFF.............had it not been for the fact that I forgot too and didn't remember till 3 wks. later! Lmao.
I had over a foot cut off my hair and my boyfriend didn't notice. Really rethinking that situation.
Let's see. Vet bills. My 12 year old Chihuahua has been dying for 2 years. The vet said he had about a year left and that was 2 years ago. I'm not complaining but now if he sneezes I get really paranoid. He has congestive heart failure. So the other day he woke up with his eye weird. I was concerned but I decided to keep an eye on it. The next morning he was sleeping in my arms (as he always does) and all of the sudden I heard what sounded almost like a scream and he just flopped and went limp. I was sure he was about to die. His eyes were rolling in the back of his head. I started screaming and ran to get my daughter because I wanted her to say good bye to him. She was pissed that I woke her up and when she went in my room the dog was just sitting there looking at me like I was crazy. My daughter was really pissed that I woke her for no reason. JJ was fine but seems tired for a while but by that afternoon he was totally normal so I thought maybe I had over reacted. Until the next day. He comes in from outside and all of the sudden he yelped and dropped over, like he had been the day before, his eyes rolling in the back of his head. I screamed for my daughter again and she was right there and saw him and we both thought he was about to die.
I picked him up and carried him to my chair and I was just holding him and he opened his eyes and sat up. Again, he was very tired but otherwise seemed fine. I rushed him to the vet sure that he was having seizures and that his weird eye had something to do with it.
I got him to the vet and he looked at him and said that what was happening was that JJ wasn't getting enough oxygen to his brain and was passing out due to that. He also checked his eye and said it looked like he scratched it. He put him on another heart medication (he is taking 3 now) and some ointments for his eye and told me that basically it was a matter of time. I guess I was kind of in shock even though I knew that he outlived the vets prediction by nearly a year and he was on borrowed time but I still don't want to lose him.
I was still upset when I checked out and paid for the visit with a credit card. When I got home with a bottle of pills and two tiny tubes of ointment I looked at the bill. I was charged $30 each for the ointments! And $30 for the pills. I mean I love my dog but I was charged $90 for meds I probably could have gotten at a pharmacy for a few bucks. And this is after I paid over $600 for surgery for my other dog last month. And now I feel like some kind of medic treating his eye twice a day and passing out meds for him and my other dog, who is taking Prozac. My dog has to take Prozac because she had been having anxiety since her surgery and was being aggressive to the other dogs. The Prozac is working by the way. She doesn't seem to care about anything.
I also am pissed off at my doctors *****fuse to run all the labs I want. I have gone through 5 different doctors already. I have changed my PCP 3 times and consulted my old PCP to see if she would run them. They say they aren't necessary.
