PACKING IT UP ...AN EMPIRIC TOOL...
Martita: I love you!!! I saw your post and just felt so much better after reading it and seeing your pictures! Thank you!! I laughed to myself thinking about how I'd love to be able to sit in a bathtub and just soak but my knees don't cooperate however, this is a goal of mine (Don't think however it would be appropriate pictures for OH LOL!) Besides which my friend tells me she has visions of me getting stuck in the tub and calling 911 to come and retrieve me!!
Anyhow, I also love Maya Angelou's Phenomenal Woman. I read it when I was 16 or 17 and have kept it with me every since.
You are truly a phemonmenal woman Martita! Hats off to you and for all you do for us here on OH! We love your story and your pictures!! They do inspire!! (me anyhow!!)
I have just weighed myself and find I am up 9 lbs!! Ugh!!!!!!! So, now it's time to get a hold on it and get going again. I found it so easy to just stop at a fast food place and get chicken nuggets! My friend has a lhaso apso 5 yrs old who ruptured a disc in his back & is now paralyzed in the back legs. He's had expensive surgery but walking is iffy if ever again. So I have been busy helping her because little "Duffy" is such a sweetie and has such a great dispostition!! In spite of his troubles, he's eager to please and hops around with his 2 front legs!!! So He will have to be my inspiration, I guess!!!
I might add my friend who has the dog has lost 52 lbs on her own herself!! She was diagnosed with pre diabetes and got good and scared. I guess I took up her old eating habits!! This too will have to change!!
Anyhow, Martita, thanks for posting, my sista1 I loves ya!!! and keep on keeping on ok? Take care, Mary
