Weekend plans?

Fellow Sojourners,

So what amazing, marvelous, and new life things are you planning this weekend?  Are you planning to do something you've never done?  Maybe go ice skiing?  What about a movie?  How about just walking the entire mall 'just because'?  No matter what you do this weekend - get out and enjoy your life.  I think we forget that our journey is about living life and doing the things we dreamed about.

What I am doing this weekend?  I am spending the weekend with the most wonderful girl in the whole world - my precious daughter.  We always plan our weekends with a least one major fun thing.  This weekend - indoor playground and pizza (for her...)

My diet continues to be working.  After 9 years of being a RNY patient I decided the weight regain was NOT ok and I am counting calories and watching what I eat.  No regrets only more victories to be had.

No matter where you find yourself this weekend - preop, postop, or a family supporter do something that reminds you that you are alive and here for a reason.

Tell me your story...what you got planned?

I am working all weekend so we can layoff and outsource our staff next week and for other fun I need to get my sons car repaired for emissions so they don't pull his registration with money I don't have.  Today is Friday the 13th and I had a dream someone punched me in the back and I woke up with the excruciating pain, yeah this weekend is gonna be a blast.  Right about now I wish I could pack away a pint of ice cream without the threat of death.

For Christmas, we promised our sons a shopping trip for clothes so we're doing that.  I received a scarf from a close friend that she had knit for me.  It is beautiful.  It inspired me to learn to knit so I'm taking a class so I'm going to the knitting store to check it out.

One of my favorite things to do is to go on a drive (no destination - just get out and go wherever) and take photos.  So we're doing that too.

I'm looking very forward to it!!

Btw - LOVE your "do something that reminds you that you are alive and here for a reason"  Very true!

I am planning to get out and go to a Cub Scout /Boy Scout event with my troop.  We are going to make catapults and get young Weeblos interested in joining our  boy scout troop. I have alot of things that I could do around the house, but I am just going to get out and have fun with the boys.

I am going to church on Sunday and sing in the choir. I'll take my 2 schnausers for a walk in the park.

Monday, I hope to volunteer at the food bank for a few hours if it is open.  If not, I want to go see movie with my son. Spend time with my boyfriend.

I will be attending a concert in which my partner will be conducting! Three young musicians who are winners of a concerto competition will perform their pieces with the orchestra. I love that my partner (whom I can now legally call my spouse in the state of Hawaii) provides such wonderful opportunities to kids. The hard part of all this for me is now over because I design the programs and just emailed them to the printer. My weekend will be full of absolutely beautiful music!
