Can we all wave "Bye" to everyone at the same time?

I just ask myself "How important is this in the great scheme of things?"
How important will this be 5 years from now?  A year from now?
If you found out someone you loved was dying how important would this seem then?

i guess if your livelihood depended on this place - it would be important.

since that's not the case for me - i come here on down time & when no longer enjoyable, i know how to bow out gracefully.

i found this place & some posters very comforting while i was dealing with my BF's death last yr from cancer.....so, at least for me - i do know what's important & what's fun/games.... i like balance.

It sounds like you know what is important in your life.  I am sorry about your boyfriend.  I lost two very close friends in the last year due to cancer.  I hate it.

Lost my mother to pancreatic cancer 6 weeks after she first got ill.
Lost my mother in law to pancreatic cancer.
Saw my then-boyfriend (now husband of 14 years and cancer-free for 13) through colon cancer, cancer surgery and chemotherapy at the age of 39.

THAT'S why all this "OHMIGOD, OH is so terrible and the mods are so mean and I'm leaving" **** is just so much **** People are freaking out like it's the end of the world. IN THE SCHEME OF LIFE - IT AIN'T NOTHING! It's a website.

Jesus, these guys would probably burst into flames if Facebook ever disappeared.

That is why I love you Bette.  Ever since I found out why you were that crazy bald lady I have had nothing but respect for you.  I don't think I could shave my head but I did have my hair cut last week and donated it to Locks of Love.
Bless you for what you do and for reminding me what truly is important in my life.  I have been blessed with 5 healthy kids and 4 healthy grandchildren and I hope I never have to be the recipient of your good works but I am grateful there are people like you that care.
