What happened to DianaCox?

i think diana is great.  she's bold, and maybe sometimes a little abrasive, but so?  holding hands and singing kumbaya doesn't really make things sink in for some people.  the advice and information she offered was priceless.  and there are SO many whiny little *****es on this website, that if they're going to delete diana, then every one of those little buggers should have to go too - and that would mean no forum at all. 

OH moderators who banned Diana - you're dumbasses.  you're giant flaming dumbasses if you don't bring her back, and grovel to do so if you have to...  still, i doubt she'd stoop to coming back, and i wouldn't blame her a bit.

DC is my "Carb Angel".  She is always straight forward and honest with her OPINIONS and everyone is allowed to have one of those in the US.  But, I guess not on OH. 

She is helpful and brutally so sometimes.  We can not strap people down and force them to have the DS (unfortunately) but we can give them the wisdom of our experiences and hope we help educate the masses before permanant life altering damage is done.  Education is power and if we are not allowed to educate by our experiences our way of life will be lost forever.

It is sad that we are only given information by those that benefit monitarily from it, and those that give freely are banned from doing so.

Keep this in mind.... Your "private"  messages AREN'T private. 

 Wow - is all I can say.   I go away for a couple of weeks and find Diana banned.   It took me a couple of years to like Diana.    I always respected her knowledge, but I tend to be the unicorn type on public forums, and that gal kinda scared me, LOL.      Nowadays, I know who she is and where she is coming from, and I'm appalled that OH did this.    In attempting to placate a few whining mamby-pambies, they've completely deprived an entire generation of WLS candidates of honest, accurate experience, and most importantly, DATA.    I am ashamed of OH.

 I liked Diana . I respected her knowledge and willingness to help others  with advice regarding insurance  fights .   

However I did  not like how dismissive , even  downright rude and attacking she could be to newcomers  and other posters . 

Not everyone who posts here is perfect .  As a matter of fact NONE of us are .  Not everyone has a DS  or wants one or SHOULD choose that type of WLS surgery .  

I'm sorry that she got banned ... but I think she started the process herself  and knew what the end result would be. 

Maybe she was spending too much time here on the boards and I hope  she is ready to move on to a more productive , Diana- centered pastime .

Diana has a CHOSEN posting style for a reason. It serves a purpose here on OH, but that does not mean that is who she IS.

Some children respond well to the 'ok, honey, now here's what we need to do' kind of parenting and discipline. Others really NEED the 'get your room cleaned or I'm going to kick your ass' kind of communication . . . . loud, in your face, and get your attention. OH has PLENTY of rainbow and butterfly posters, but all people do not hear the message if it is covered in glitter - some people need the 'in your face' communication style.

The people who 'need' to hear it Diana style, hear it. Others are also able to hear it, if they let go of the 'tone' they hear in their head. A lot of the posts where she was rude and attacking (by your definition) got a lot of readers reading. Somewhere in those threads, they probably absorbed some very valuable information.

If you think that OH reading people's PM's here, or getting information from other internet sites, is ok - feel free to sing the praises of OH and bash Diana. But to take information that was NOT done on the forums here on OH, so did NOT violate the TOS, and ban her for life because of it . . . . i hardling think that's something she started and knew the end result of. Her time on OH was productive, and certainly not Diana centered. Do you some how think she was getting toasters for helping people here?

 I would like to see Diana return to a board where she can share her occasionally curt but certainly life changing advice unfettered by people who think newbies or anyone on this board needs any more protection than instrucions on how to use the block button.
