What happened to DianaCox?
Correcting an earlier statement:
On a particular thread from yesterday, one that I am sure Diana contributed to (with FACTUAL information from peer-reviewed studies) they "disappeared" her. I made my blanket statement based on that, since there was no profanity there, just facts (and we know how unimportant THOSE are to some people).
It seems that in older threads, she is indeed showing up as "deactivated", but, to some extent anyway, some of her good work remains.
This just really annoys the crap out of me. All of it. The violation of her privacy, the re-writing of history, all of it.

the whole thing is very disturbing, and I am not being facetious.
I genuinely like Diana, but for those that don't they should be upset about what is happening.
Reminds me of that famous quote...
First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

What a pathetic way to run a forum. The weiners are in control, I guess. And here's another thing that was done that its MOST un-helpful: They didn't just deactivate her, they ERASED her. Every refutation she has posted to the trolls and the clueless.... POOF! gone. So a metric ton of good, factual information has disappeared, but the lies remain. So sad.
I hope Diana comes back. Personally, I wonder why she bothers to care so much...she takes a lot of grief for trying to help people.
If you don't like her tone, block her. She is very factual, and sometimes that doesn't translate well but she has helped sooo many people. I can't even imagine the HOURS she has put in to help people draft appeals and give advice to.
She is a very valuable resource to the WLS community.

That's a really good point, Susan. My guess is her need to pay it forward, to help educate people about WLS and to get the right surgery the first time is greater than her need to not wade through moderator bull****
Diana can be harsh and can get in people's faces, but like you said, use the BLOCK BUTTON if you don't like it. I'd rather a few people be offended and a lot of people have the opportunity to learn from her advice, than the opposite.
The smartest thing would have been to perhaps invite her and people like Finn and Elizabeth to be on the team revising the TOS and management. Instead, they ban her.
I haz a confusion.
