What happened to DianaCox?

I haven't been a member here long, but I've been reading these boards for years.  I love reading DC's posts because she has great advice and is generous is sharing her knowledge.  It looks like her posts now say "deactivated member".   Does that mean she got fed up with us and left?  Just a weird glitch?  I hope she comes back...

Just curious.  I know people come and go a lot here, and I see a lot of posts from "deactivated" members.  But this is the first time I seen it from someone who I regard as a real staple around here.

Nutshell:

Lost 140 lbs with VSG. (Hooray!!)

got pregnant  (yeaaaa!)

got cancer (boooo!)

regained 40 lbs.   (grrrr!)

In summary: Alive & Grateful.

Yes I have been here off and on since 2003 as well and it's crazy that it has gotten this slow. So MANY people will not get the correct info now.  Sad indeed !

I am new here also, but her posts have helped me alot. Hopefully just a glitch. If not i hope she left on her own, and wasn't moderated off the boards.  But judging from some some of the recently moderated topics i wouldn't doubt it.

Surely OH wouldn't do something that stupid?  Oh wait, maybe they would.

Diana has been incredibly helpful for so many people, especially people with insurance issues. I am glad that I was able to take her advice and seek out the revision I needed.

I wish everyone could see the value of her contributions to this community.

She and others that were the backbone helpers here were banned by a heavy handed mod years ago, and there are issues with the moderation now.

Just a guess, but she may have had enough. Many have.

Diana takes her promise to 'pay it forward' very seriously. Why would she willing leave a board where she was positioned to help so many? History does repeat itself when people are too stupid to learn from the past.

I totally agree with you.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. - Buddha

That would be sad.

Diana has helped many, many, people obtain their surgery.

Her advice regarding insurance battles is invaluable.

She is honest and up front and that is probably part of the problem.

Backstabbing and dishonesty seems to thrive here!
